“The Photobooth For The Future” Fundraiser is a community fundraising event happening Sunday, September 7th, from 2–6pm at 737 SE Sandy Blvd, Portland. Guests will need a ticket to participate in particular parts of this event/ to get a picture with a select few—recognized community celebrities—against one of three themed backdrops envisioning the future of the 7th & SE Sandy Green Plaza and a makerspace for the Portland Indigenous Marketplace. But there will also be some free and low cost options.
Additional event offerings include:
Kokedama workshop with Lupe Rodriguez ($50 per participant) in person
Free kids’ workshop led by Sebastian in person
Special merch sales for anyone in person
Personalized engraved bricks
Raffle $10 per entry
Silent auction
Many options to support financially and opportunities for anyone to learn and participate!
This event is made possible through a partnership between Portland Indigenous Marketplace and DePave PDX. While most events hosted by the Portland Indigenous Marketplace primarily feature artist markets and art events benefiting Indigenous and Black artists, the specific September 7th fundraiser will focus on fundraising for the huge project of transforming the end of the Sandy trail (Blvd)

2:00pm Opening with a few words by Lluvia Merello
2:15-3:45pm- Photos with backdrop ONLY with volunteers
2:30-3:30pm- Kokedama Workshop by Lupe
3:45-4:10pm- Hollywood style Community Celebrity Welcome!
4:15-6pm- Photos with Community Celebrity and Professional photographer Jason Okamoto
6-6:30pm- End of Silent Auction and Raffle-Closing mingle

This offer includes a 10 min photo session with both a community celebrity and professional photographer offered from 4-6pm. Final image will be delivered through email.
Each person needs a purchased ticket to participate in the Kokedama workshop led by Lupe Rodriguez Sep 7th from 2:30-3:30pm. Each person will complete a Kokedama and have it to take with them. Thank you Lupe for leading this workshop.
The silent auction for Portland Indigenous Marketplace is one of the many community fundraising events that PIM hosts annually, such as the IndigenoUS Gala and now the Sep 7th Photobooth For The Future Fundraiser. The auction features a variety of items and experiences donated by artists, and community supporters. Participants can bid on these items to help raise funds that directly support programs such as the Indigenous Marketplace program and the renovations for 737 SE Sandy Blvd.
